IATA je međunarodno trgovačko tijelo, stvoreno prije 60 godina od strane skupine zrakoplovnih prijevoznika. Danas, IATA predstavlja  230 zrakoplovnih prijevoznika, obuhvaćajući 93% zrakoplovnog prometa. Organizacija također predstavlja, vodi i služi zrakoplovnoj industriji općenito.
